All properties affected by the obstruction must be notified in writing prior to beginning work.
Any work involving excavation, such as but not limited to digging, boring, or physically disturbing the right-of-way, will require an Excavation Permit instead of an Obstruction Permit.

A City of Maple Grove Obstruction Permit shall be on site at all times and available upon request by any City official.
Safety vests must be worn by all people occupying the right-of-way.
Vehicles, equipment, and materials are not allowed on any sidewalk or trail unless prior approval has been granted by a City of Maple Grove official.

Inclement weather shall be reason for delay or suspension of obstruction as determined by the City of Maple Grove.
All permit applications requiring traffic control shall conform to the most recent version of the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, including the Temporary Traffic Control Zone Layouts Field Manual, and be approved by the Transporation Operations Engineer.
The City of Maple Grove only allows traffic control to occur during off peak hours, which is between 9:00am-3:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
All traffic control devices must be removed from the job site promptly upon completion of work.

All contractors, including subcontractors, must be registered with the City of Maple Grove to do work in the right-of-way. Text: | The proposed traffic control plan is acceptable provided that there will be no staging and/or construction vehicles parked within the existing roadway. If any staging takes place within the existing pavement area, the traffic control needs to be revised to reflect the actual conditions in the field. Also, any proposed traffic control devices placed along Weaver Lake Road requires county approval. |
